5.50 Gen Update *NEW D*

New Gen D Update!

We only recommend updating to the GEN D firmware if you want to play a game that has been released recently. The GEND3 will not play some older games and emulators. We would recommend staying with the 5.00M33-6 firmware.

Any-PSP CFW Installer Pack. You must already be running Custom Firmware for these to work. A Pandora Battery and Magic Memory stick must be used to first install 4.01M33-2.

If you have a PSP3000 or a PSP2000 with a serial number AB02 you will need our PSP3000 Magic Memory stick and have Sony Firmware of 5.03 or lower. A Pandora Batter is not required for this installation.

For A PSP 1000 or a PSP 2000 with a TA088v2 or lower motherboard:

Installing the 1.50 Kernel compatibility (FOR FAT PSPs ONLY)

Since the Slim PSP is not compatible with 1.50 Kernel the main CFW installer will not install 1.50 Kernel anymore. Nevertheless a 1.50 Kernel addon for 5.00 M33 is available to add this capability (but for Fat PSPs ONLY). Therefore if you have a Slim PSP you must skip this section.

Note: This update is totally independent of the 5.00 M33 version installed (1, 2, or future ones).

1.- Download the 1.50 Kernel addon for 5.00 M33.

2.- Uncompress the contents of the “150k_addon500.rar” file into a handy location your HD. Browse the uncompressed contents in your HD, and you will see a folder called “150k_installer500” containing four files (EBOOT.PBP, ipl_update.prx, libpsardumper.prx and pspdecrypt.prx).

3.- Connect your PSP to your PC via USB cable and enable the USB Mode on your PSP.

4.-Copy the folder called “150k_installer500” and all its contents to ms0:/PSP/GAME/

5.- Download the 1.50 Official SONY Update File from any of the download links above. Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the unzipped 1.50 EBOOT.PBP file to 150.PBP. Then copy it into the root of your Memory Stick.

6.- Disable the USB Mode safely and disconnect the PSP from the PC.

7.- In the PSP’s XMB Menu, goto “Game” -> “Memory Stick”

8.- Highlight the 1.50 Kernel Installer for 5.00 M33 and press X button to execute the program.

9.- The updater will remind you that once installed you will lose flash0:/dic/apotp.dic. No need to worry as this file has no clear function. Press X to agree, and the Update will be installed.

10.- Your fat PSP will now be able to execute homebrew applications based in 1.50 Kernel. (Remember that by default all 1.50 Kernel Homebrew should be installed in the :/PSP/GAME150/ folder).

Changes:
- 4.01 to 5.00

- Bug fix: when changing speed in xmb, and the psp turned the brightness to 0 automatically the speed was rested to 222 again.

Note to pspstates plugin users: this plugin won’t work in this firmware due to it being made
specifically for 4.01. Running it in 5.00 M33 can cause problems, wait until an update of plugin.

If you have a fat you will need to download the 1.50 kernal addon. Download this file Click Here Create a folder in the PSP/GAME/update folder and name it 150K_addon500 . Next move all the files from this download except the 150K_addon4.01.rar and the readme.txt to the new folder. Then add this file to the root of the memory stick. Click Here
